November 04, 2011 7:30PM – KUHF Silent Film Concerts: The Cameraman
Austin’s Bee vs. Moth performs their original score to this 1928 classic Buster Keaton film on the Anheuser-Busch Stage. Here the great stone-face plays a young man who tries to impress a girl by becoming a newsreel cameraman. Of course, nothing goes right. He forgets to load the camera or he does it wrong or he’s in the wrong place at the wrong time. In short, everything gets screwed up, and nobody screws everything up more entertainingly than the great Keaton. Brass-laden Bee Vs. Moth’s “multiple-genre, weirdo instrumental is just right for this anarchic laugh riot.
