Matchbox Twenty is on a co-headlining tour with Goo Goo Dolls as they support their 2012 album “North.” Meanwhile, Goo Goo Dolls has a new release, “Magnetic,” and the tour rolls into The Woodlands Tomorrow — Tuesday, July 30th at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.

UFC 166: Cain Velasquez vs. Junior Dos Santos features two of the UFC’s beat heavyweights for the latest installment of their championship trilogy. The third meeting between the two for the heavyweight championship belt will come to the Toyota Center as UFC action returns to Houston on October 19th.

Peter and the Starcatcher is the play based on the 2006 children’s novel of a similar name by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, adapted for the stage by Rick Elice. It tells the backstory for the character Peter Pan and how he came to Neverland. The award-winning play comes to Hobby Center in Houston, October 15th through the 20th.

Black Sabbath comes to The Woodlands this Thursday, with Ozzy and crew headlining at the The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. “The founding fathers of heavy metal” are currently on a 20 city tour as they support their latest album “13,” featuring their latest single, “God is Dead?”

Houston Texans are kicking off the football season with your chance to experience training camp, preseason and regular season games at the Reliant Stadium. Training camp kicks off July 30th and preseason matchups include showdowns against the Miami Dolphins and New Orleans Saints.

The musical Priscilla Queen of the Desert comes to Houston at the Hobby Center September 29th through October 12th. Written by Australian film director-writer Stephan Elliott and Allan Scott, and adapted from Elliot’s 1994 film “The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert,” the musical tells the story of two drag queens and a transsexual, who are hired to perform a drag show at a resort in Alice Springs, a resort town in the remote Australian desert. Along their travels, the three friends come to the forefront of a comedy of errors, encountering a number of strange characters, incidents of homophobia, while widening comfort zones and finding new horizons.

The Book of Mormon comes to the Hobby Center in Houston, September 3rd to the 15th, 2013. The Broadway musical has won nine Tony Awards, including one for Best Musical, and the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album. Created by “South Park” creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the musical follows the story of two young Mormon missionaries sent to a remote village in northern Uganda, where a brutal warlord is threatening the local population. Naive and optimistic, they try to share the Book of Mormon, one of their scriptures (which only one of them has read) but have trouble connecting with the locals, who are more worried about war, famine, poverty, and AIDS than about religion.

WWE Smackdown! has been delighting audiences with raw wrestling action since its inception in 1999. Featuring superstar matchups from John Cena, Alberto Del Rio, Dean Ambrose and more, Smackdown! comes to Houston at the Toyota Center on July 25th.
